Steps to install/Troubleshoot Huion pen tablet







First-time setup

  • Plug one end of the USB cable into your drawing tablet and the other end into a USB power source.
  • Note: The USB power source can be a computer, power bank, or a USB wall outlet.
  • Charge your drawing tablet for 3–5 hours.
  • Plug one end of the USB cable into your drawing tablet and the other end into a USB port of your computer.
  • Press the Power button on your drawing tablet to turn it ON.
  • Note: Refer to the user manual for information on the exact location of the Power button, as it may vary by brand or model.Note: Typically, a green LED indicator will glow once your drawing tablet is turned ON.
  • Go to the manufacturer website and search for the model of your drawing tablet.
  • Download the latest version of the software of your drawing tablet.
  • Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the software of your drawing tablet.
  • Draw a line, image on your drawing tablet using the stylus pen and view the same on your computer. 


If it's Won't work :

Note: Try these solutions in the following order until your issue is resolved.


💠Plug your drawing tablet into a working USB port

Unplug one end of the USB cable from your drawing tablet and the other end from the USB port of the computer.

Connect another working device to the same USB port to confirm that the port is working.

Plug your drawing tablet into another working USB port, if the other device doesn’t work with the original USB port.

Press the Power button on your drawing tablet to turn it ON.

Note: Refer to the user manual for inforamtion on the exact location of the Power button, as it may vary by brand or model.Note: Typically, a green LED indicator will glow once your drawing tablet is turned ON.

💠Turn ON Bluetooth on your computer

For Windows:

Click the Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen.

Click Settings > Devices > Bluetooth and other devices.

Click the toggle switch next to Bluetooth to turn it ON.

Note: The Bluetooth toggle switch will turn blue once you turn it ON.


Wait until your computer scans for your drawing tablet and click the name once it appears.

For Mac:

Click the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.

Click System Preferences > Bluetooth.

Click the toggle switch next to Bluetooth to turn it ON.

Note: The Bluetooth toggle switch will turn blue once you turn it ON.


Wait until your computer scans for your drawing tablet and click the name once it appears.


Restart your computer

For Windows:

Click the Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen.

Click Power > Restart.

For Mac:

Click the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.

Click Restart.


💠Re-pair your drawing tablet with your computer (for Bluetooth-enabled drawing tablet)

For Windows:

Click the Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen.

Click Settings > Devices > Bluetooth and other devices.

Click the Ellipsis (three dots) icon next to the name of your drawing tablet and click Remove device.

Put your drawing tablet in pairing mode.

Note: Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to put your drawing tablet in pairing mode, as they may vary by brand or model.


Click the toggle switch next to Bluetooth to turn it OFF and then turn it back ON.

Click Add device > Bluetooth.

Wait until your computer scans for your drawing tablet and click the name once it appears.

Follow the onscreen instructions to pair your drawing tablet with your computer.

Note: Typically, a green LED indicator will glow once your drawing tablet is successfully paired.


For Mac:

Click the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.

Click System Preferences > Bluetooth.

Click the X button next to the name of your drawing tablet.

Put your drawing tablet in pairing mode.

Note: Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to put your drawing tablet in pairing mode, as they may vary by brand or model.


Click the toggle switch next to Bluetooth to turn it OFF and then turn it back ON.

Wait until your computer scans for your drawing tablet and tap the name once it appears.

Click Connect to pair your drawing tablet with your computer.

Note: Typically, a green LED indicator will glow once your drawing tablet is successfully paired.



💠Update the USB 3.0 Host Controller driver on your computer

For Windows:

Press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard.

Click Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Right click on the name of your drawing tablet and click Update Driver.

Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.

For Mac:

Click the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.

Click System Preferences > Software Update > Update Now.

Wait until the updates are downloaded and installed, if any.


💠Update the software of your drawing tablet

Go to the manufacturer website and download the latest update for your drawing tablet.

Note: Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to download the latest update, as they may vary by brand and model.

Right click on the downloaded file and send it to a source device such as pendrive or smartphone.

Connect the source device to your drawing tablet and navigate to Settings > Update



If Stylus pen won't work

Note: Try these solutions in the following order until your issue is resolved.


✳️Replug your graphic tablet into your computer

Press the Power button on your graphic tablet to turn it OFF.

Note: Refer to the user manual for information on the exact location of the Power button, as it may vary by brand or model.

Unplug one end of the USB cable from your graphic tablet and the other end from the USB port of your computer.

Plug one end of the USB cable back into your graphic tablet and the other end into the USB port of your computer.

Press the Power button on your graphic tablet to turn it ON.

Note: Typically, a green LED indicator will glow once your graphic tablet is turned ON.

Restart your computer

🔹For Windows:

Click the Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen.

Click Power > Restart.

🔹For Mac:

Click the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.

Click Restart.
